My name is Gilmar Novaes, I'm 24 years old, I am Brazilian, a student of Fine Arts at the University of Brasilia (UNB), was born in a small town called Santa Maria da Vitoria Bahia, but when I turned 4 years old, my parents decided to try a better life and come live in Brasilia.
Since childhood, I found it easy to design, and I think the evolution of my mother, when I showed her a picture, ugly as she was, she said she was beautiful. With that she always encouraged me to persist, so I ended up learning more, although I do not know exactly judge a lot of drawing.
Life was not so good when we arrived in Brasilia, because we lived rent, my parents, my sister and me, so I never had money to buy materials for drawing, always wore simple materials and school. Thus, the time went by, and at 15 years old I started to run behind things, because he needed money and my parents could not give me things, so the design starts to be present in my life, because girls who studied with me asked me to draw them, so I charged $ 10.00 and someone was always drawing, with that money I bought magazines that gave tips on drawings.
During my life I was always and still get long periods without drawing anything, for lack of time, lately that does not leave the University, but there's always something that calls you back to practice.
I believe that every effort is worth much, because sometimes we become discouraged and fail to achieve victory, and if you are beginning to draw and is now saddened by his drawings, just give this advice: "Each design, its maximum load, and if you still do not like the result, do not worry, just keep practicing and you'll realize that this better, no matter what always practice. "
When I stop and think about my life, I see what I went through many difficult times, and I think today I'm in the middle of my journey in search of my goals.
